Here’s the final match of the 2011 Virginia Regional.
I’m not sure how I forgot to mention this when I wrote about our win at the Virginia Regional, but I did.
On Saturday Raider Robotix was awarded the Creativity Award sponsored by Xerox.
Judges noted our tires’ diamond shape cut, and how fast our lift system is.
Wow! We’re feeling pretty darned good after winning the 2011 Virginia Regionals this afternoon with our alliance partners 1676 and 1522. Yesterday’s qualification matches went very well but today’s play was quite challenging, even tense at times.
Funny thing. We didn’t perform all that well in the New Jersey Regional. We learned from that and figured we’d play in Virginia, have a good time, and that would be that. But after today we really want to attend – and win – the Championships in St. Louis!
There’s just one problem: money. We’ve got to find a whole lot of it in a very short time to turn the St. Louis dream into reality. (Hint: If you see us fundraising, well, we sure hope you’ll help!)
There are lots of pictures and video from the past few days to share and we’ll be doing that just as soon as we have something better than hotel bandwidth.
But right now it’s time for some sleep.
Thanks to our sponsors, coaches, mentors and parents for their untiring support and help.

We have a flyer with all the information you need to set yourself up for a great evening!
RPM, or Raider Parent Mentors, is the parent booster club for Raider Robotix, of North Brunswick Township High School. All funds raised by this and other team events goes straight to the team to help defray the not insignificant cost of the season’s competitions.
We thank you for your support!
At 11:00 EDT March 27, 2011 we threw the switch, updating DNS to point our domain to a new hosting company. It’s the first such move we’ve made in our history.
By 3:30 EDT the change seems to have propagated to most of the larger DNS providers. If you’re reading this then you’re seeing us on the new server.
Please report any problems that appear to be related to the move.
Now we can get back to work.
